When I first got engaged in December 2018, there was only one place where I wanted to get married—on the family coffee farm. There is something really magical about the place. Walls of giant monstera leaves cascade down the hill, banana groves slice through the coffee farm, and ‘ohi'a trees dot the landscape. Peacocks are often roaming about, making their calls from the trees and unfurling the iridescent-colored tail feathers in hopes of attracting a mate. What I love most about the farm is the diversity of plants, which will only become diverse as we continue to work towards a more sustainable agroforest.

Our wedding was held in August 2019, on a lush grass lawn overlooking the coffee trees and ocean. This venue space was a labor of love. What began as two event-style tents and a tin roof shed transformed into a beautiful area for friends and family to gather in the name of love. The floral arrangements were harvested from plants on the farm and around the island. Our guest party favors were custom stamped bags of 100% Kona Coffee. More Weddings on the Farm

My sister, Malia, had her wedding on the farm in August 2018 (though at a different location). The morning of their wedding included a stop for coffee at our café and a beautiful first look and lei exchange near a kahili ginger grove.

Several of our friends—and later friends of friends—also chose to get married on the coffee farm. We feel truly blessed to share this space for families and friends to gather for celebrations.
