Giving Thanks: Our 'Ohana Shares What They're Thankful For

At The Kona Coffee & Tea Company, we believe in sharing gratitude and abundance every day. We are truly thankful for another year of serving our community with 100% Kona coffee and we wanted to share that with you, so we reached out to our staff for a few words. We hope you enjoy some friendly faces sharing what they’re thankful for.

Chance Punahele, Cafe Manager

“This year has been full of moments of gratitude from surviving Covid-19, to welcoming a nephew/God son into this world. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunities and I’m looking forward to more memories with my family and community.”

Kirstina Bolton Motamedi, Marketing

“Since moving back home to Hawai’i in April, I have been very grateful for our Kona community during my final months of pregnancy. We welcomed our daughter, Kiana Gwen Motamedi, Earth-side on October 8 and are completely in love. It really takes a village to raise a child and I am so thankful she is a part of the Kona Coffee & Tea ‘ohana.”

Arturo Correa-Piedrahita, Farm Manager

“We are thankful for the opportunity to work and resolve situations every day on the coffee plantation at The Kona Coffee & Tea Company on the Big Island. I am thankful to share life with my family and friends in this amazing place with the most awesome ‘kealakekua’ sunsets. With reason, The Hawaiians believe that ‘Kealakekua’ is the ‘Pathway Of The Gods."

Chenoa Jesser, Merchandising

“After breaking my leg in March, I am more grateful than ever to have had Kona Coffee & Tea as a second home this year.  Coming down to the shop each day allowed me to create a routine when my normal one was disrupted and be surrounded by supportive friends (both regulars and employees) invested in my recovery and overall well being!”

Marc Beauregard, Coffee Roaster

“I am grateful for my health! My abundance! Grateful to be able to roast coffee in the most beautiful place in the world. I look up to my Kona Coffee & Tea community and staff. I am also thankful for my girlfriend Marissa, the waves we share, and our life we have worked to create for ourselves.”

Danny Jesser, Manager

“I am most grateful for all the people in my life, and the time I have been able to spend with them. As my 107 year old Grandmother used to tell me: ‘In the end, you can’t take it with you…what you end up treasuring are the experiences and the people you shared them with.’ Mahalo to everyone for sharing.”

Malia Bolton Hind, Owner

“I am extremely grateful for our community. We are so blessed to have all the families and friends that live and work in Kailua-Kona.”

Thank you for tasting the gratitude, passion, and Aloha in every cup of Kona Coffee & Tea’s 100% Kona coffee.

With warmest Mahalo,

- Kona Coffee & Tea 'Ohana
